The Art of Becoming

I painted The Art of Becoming as a reflection on the way growth often happens quietly, beneath what others can see. The orchid appears fully formed, yet every petal carries a network of lines, textures, and shifting shades of purple. I wanted these details to represent the experiences that shape us over time—the uncertainty, change, and moments of courage that gradually become part of who we are. The gold running through the flower does not conceal its complexity; it draws attention to it. For me, becoming is not about reaching a perfect or finished version of ourselves. It is the ongoing process of allowing every experience to leave its mark while continuing to unfold into something new.
